There are plenty of events for homes in new bern nc residents to partake in this month! Here’s a small sampling of what’s going on in New Bern in April.
The 8th Annual East Carolina Pottery Festival will take place on Saturday, April 9 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.This event will be held at the North Carolina History Center located in downtown New Bern at 529 South Front Street, This event will feature more than 50 local potters who will showcase and sell their pottery. Festival of Fun 2016 is going down on Saturday, April 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Union Point Park (210 East Front Street). This is one of the state’s premier family-fun events and is free and open to the public. This event will include everything from arts, crafts, costumed characters, delicious food, inflatable rides, and kid-friendly vendors to a petting zoo, educational information, and performances by Dance Theatre, Down East Dance Studio, Magician Lou Osborne, New Bern Ballet, Rhythm-cize of Havelock and Wanda Kay’s School of Dance.
The 1st Annual Relay for Life of Craven County 5K Run/Walk will take place on Saturday, April 23. The run/walk will begin promptly at 8 a.m. This event is sponsored by the Grover C. Field Middle School Grizzlies team and will benefit The American Cancer Society. After the race there will be a wide selection of games, food, music and tributes to cancer survivors. The advance registration fee is $25 per person while registration the day of the race is $35 per person. Complete your registration by April 13 to be guaranteed to receive a t-shirt in your size. There will be a race packet pickup and on-site registration on Friday, April 22 at Grover C. Brews & Bites: Celebrating 75 Years of MCAS Cherry Point will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. This is a great event for homes in new bern nc residents to attend and relax where Brews & Bites goers will be able to enjoy music as well as craft brews and apps from local restaurants and breweries. Proceeds will benefit Allies for Cherry Point’s Tomorrow. Advanced tickets are now available for $35 per person and at the door for $50 per person.
